Herzing College - Networking Program

Toronto’s Herzing College is launching an updated Network Systems Technology program, with course additions that will provide students with expertise using cloud technology. The two new course additions to the one-year NST program will provide networking students with the skills required to monitor, configure and administer a private Cloud.

The updated Network Systems Technology program has been designed to move with the changes in networking and online communications, with cloud technology becoming a popular asset to businesses and individuals.

In developing the newly updated program, Herzing College has partnered with Microsoft by becoming a Microsoft IT Academy and a Microsoft Certified Partner. The program offered by Herzing College Toronto prepares students with the skills and knowledge required to write industry certifications for Microsoft Certified Solution Expert – Private Cloud (MCSE) and Microsoft Exchange.

Herzing College is also a member of the Computer Technology Industry Association (CompTIA), with diploma graduates being prepared to obtain CompTIA A+ certification.

The new courses in Cloud administration provide diploma graduates with the updated skills that are in demand for careers in the networking industry. Potential career paths for graduates include Network Specialist, System Administrator and Tech Support.

Byron Thomas, Director of Career Development, is excited about the updated program that Herzing College Toronto is now able to offer. “Cloud is the future. More and more employers are requesting employees who are knowledgeable in the many uses of cloud technology to increase their efficiency in communication, while consumers are seeing the benefit of cloud for sharing and storing their music, pictures, and just about everything. Really, the sky is the limit!”
