Discovery Community College Offers iPads and Bursaries at Open House

Attending Discovery Community College’s Parksville campus might be easier than you think. Especially if you happen to win a bursary or iPad at their open house.

On Tuesday, September 2, Discovery Community College will host an open house at 160 Corfield Street South in Parksville, from 3 to 7 p.m. There will be a ribbon-cutting ceremony, as well as plenty of information on the campus’ programs and offerings.

The college will be showing off their brand new and state-of-the-art dental laboratory, along with the newly-remodelled learning environment. Attendees can even win a 16GB iPad or one of three $1,000 bursaries from DCC.

The college also has campuses in Cambell River-Spirit Square, Cambell River-Robron Centre, Courtenay, Port Alberni, Parksville, Nanaimo, Selby and Maple Ridge, as well as online courses.

Discovery Community College takes pride in offering hands-on training, in smaller and attentive class sizes. They feel their approach produces job-ready graduates that are ready to contribute to the workplace immediately.

They offer a wide variety of programs in faculties such as Health, Business, the Skilled Trades, and Web Development.

Light refreshments will be served at the event, and the ribbon cutting takes place at 5 p.m.
