Paralegal Named The Most Underrated Job
Looking for an in-demand career, with low stress and good earning potential? Consider studying to become a paralegal.
CareerCast.com recently released a new list of America’s most underrated jobs, with paralegal coming in at the number one spot.
“Paralegals and legal assistants make an average annual income of $47,000, and over the past three years the average unemployment rate in the field has been just 3.1%,” said Susan Adams of Forbes Magazine.
“The job is also relatively low-stress, involves little contact with the public, and doesn’t require employees to breathe in toxic fumes or lift loads of 50 lbs. or more.”

“I have the best of both worlds. I get to do the work that I want, but I don’t have the high demands that a lawyer does,” said Jennifer Dahms, a paralegal at a Milwaukee law firm.. “I wouldn’t say that my job is underrated. I would say it’s equally balanced. I get to take vacations, leave work and have a life.”
Other careers that made the list include accountant, loan officer, Market Research Analyst, Software Engineer, Computer Systems Analyst, Insurance Agent, Dietician, Dental Hygienist, Civil Engineer, Physical Therapist and Chiropractor.
