CDI College Grads Once Again Achieve 100% Pass Rate on CPNRE Exam

The Canadian Practical Nurse Registration Exam (CPNRE) is a crucial step in any graduate’s career.
For the second time this year, CDI College graduates from the Practical Nursing program have achieved a 100% pass rate on the Canadian Practical Nurse Registration Exam (CPNRE).
Practical nursing graduates from CDI College’s Richmond, Surrey and Vancouver campuses who sat the exam in June of 2013 surpassed the national average for first-time writers of the CPRNE, with the Vancouver campus graduates achieving a 100% pass rate. CDI College just announced that graduates from CDI’s Edmonton South campus who sat the September 2013 exam also achieved a 100% pass rate.
The CPNRE is a national exam that measures the competencies required of nurses at the beginning their practice. The exam covers professional, ethical and legal practice, foundations of practice and collaborative practice, and is a crucial step in becoming a licensed or registered practical nurse in Canada. The exam is developed by practical nurse educators, clinicians and administrators from across Canada and meets industry-accepted standards.
The Practical Nursing program at CDI College not only prepares its students to write the CPRNE, but provides a combination of classroom lectures, hands-on training and a practicum placement to prepare students to work as practical nurses in hospitals, doctor’s offices, schools and more.
