VanArts Photography Students in Action

Action week at Vancouver Institute of Media Arts.
The Vancouver Institute of Media Arts’ Digital Photography students just put the wraps on their Action Week, with instructor Ian Hylands.
The essence of Action Week is photographers going out and capturing amazing action shots, in exciting locations.
Students went on location to Vancouver’s Phoenix Gymnastics Club and Burnaby’s Canlan Ice Sports 8 Rinks. They worked side-by-side with high-level gymnasts and skaters to capture their aerial artistry. The week also saw dancers from the Harbour Dance Centre come to the VanArts studio to work with the students on capturing more incredible action shots.
You can read more about Action Week by reading VanArts’ blog or you can watch the video of the Harbour dance photo shoot online.
Amazing to see the effort put in by schools to help students learn in real-life settings and situations.
For 30,000$ “action week” better be worth it…
