The Study and Go Abroad Fair, Canada’s largest international university and student travel expo, kicks off its fall schedule on Saturday, September 21st at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre before continuing on to more Canadian cities throughout the month of September.

The Fair is a great opportunity for students to meet with universities and colleges from around the world – including Canada! – that are offering undergraduate, post-graduate and vocational programs. The fair also includes a special Travel Pavilion for gap year and career break options, volunteering, work experience and exciting adventure travel.

“Visitors to the expo have a fantastic opportunity to meet face-to-face with university representatives to find out more about how they can study abroad and make their dreams a reality,” says Director of Sales and Marketing, Katie Idle.  “We have a great line-up of universities, and student travel organizations offering adventure travel and gap year options, volunteer programs and work abroad. I would encourage students to bring their friends and family to this inclusive, free event.”

Exhibitors at the Study and Go Abroad Fair include top universities from the UK, USA, Australia, Canada, France, Finland, Germany, Hong Kong, Hungary, Ireland, Israel, New Zealand, Spain, Switzerland and The Netherlands. Exhibiting institutions will showcase programs in Medicine, Law, Pharmacy, Hotel Management, Business, Forestry, Technology, Science, Engineering, and Culinary and Liberal Arts, among other fields.

“Visitors to the Study and Go Abroad Fair have a unique opportunity to explore a full range of post-secondary options, and learn about admission requirements, available scholarships and exciting destinations for both studies and travel,” says Idle.

Students looking for gap year and other travel options such as volunteering, work abroad, internships and language training are encouraged to visit the Travel Zone.

The fairs are open to the public and admission is free of charge.

The expo starts at 12pm, but visitors are invited to come early at 11am to attend a feature seminar entitled “Professional Degrees Are The Door Openers to Exciting New Career Opportunities.” Other seminars taking place during the day include “Employability: how to make the most of your university experience to build a successful career”; “Study Medicine in the UK!” “Become a Veterinarian in five years, direct from high school”; “London calling – distinguish yourself at King’s College London, University of London”; “Study in Australia – A Future Unlimited!”; and “Studying Law in the UK.”

The Study and Go Abroad Fair will be in Ottawa on September 22nd, in Halifax on September 24, Vancouver on September 26th and Calgary on September 28th.
