Home Inspection Training

This program will be offered completely online and covers all aspects of the home inspection profession.

Carson Dunlop and York University recently announced a strategic training collaboration to provide a comprehensive career home inspection training program.

This program will be offered completely online and covers all aspects of the home inspection profession. It was created by two leaders in the field – the American Society of Home Inspectors and Carson Dunlop.

“We are thrilled to be working in collaboration with York University,” said Alan Carson, President of Carson Dunlop.

“The ability to offer our program through a reputable University creates new opportunities for individuals looking to pursue a career in the home inspection field.”

Carson Dunlop has been educating home inspectors since 1990, through classroom instruction, books and online courses, conference presentations, webinars, papers and articles.

They provide continuing education courses for:

  • Real Estate Professionals
  • Property Appraisers
  • Mortgage Professionals
  • Home Inspectors

York University’s Division of Continuing Education in the Faculty of Liberal Arts and Professional Studies offers part-time and full-time non-credit courses, programs and certificates.

The program uses a consistent methodology across 10 textbooks and CD-ROMs, focusing on practical applied knowledge rather than theoretical discussion.

York University will present an information session (on a future, yet to be decided date) for people looking for more information.
