Aveda Institute Announces Scholarship Contest

The Aveda Institute is looking to give scholarships to students who feel they are born to style. The hair and beauty school recently announced their “Born to Style?” contest, with over $50,000 in scholarships available.
“Show us why YOU are the best candidate to win a full scholarship to the Aveda Institute nearest you! We are basically giving away $53,000 in education,” said the school’s website.
“Having an Aveda education under your belt is the perfect start to a career that can take you anywhere the world that you desire.”
Entrants are simply asked to submit a video online that asks students to explain why they are born to style, and why they deserve to attend Aveda Institute. They can also view and rate other students’ video submissions.
If chosen, students can use their scholarship to study Aveda’s Hairstyling/ Esthiology, Academy Salon, or Educator Development programs.
Aveda has been a leader in providing beauty products and education since 1978. They currently have campuses in Vancouver, Victoria, Edmonton, Calgary, Winnipeg, Montreal and Toronto. In December, they opened the doors to their newest Institute in the distinctive Ashdown Building in Winnipeg’s Exchange District.
