Willis College Teams With Fortinet To Create Jobs in Ottawa

Willis CollegeWillis College of Business, Health and Technology will be working with Fortinet, a leading network security provider, to create jobs in the Ottawa area.

The unique job creation program will see Willis College expand its staff and rapidly grow its Ottawa campus security curriculum, with the help of Fortinet product training.

“We are honoured to have been chosen for such a prestigious partnership. Fortinet provides end-to-end security solutions to enterprises, service providers and government entities worldwide, including the majority of the Global 500,” said-Rima Aristocrat, president of Willis College.

“It is a testament to and recognition of our excellence in IT education, which we strive to achieve and maintain. This partnership will put our graduates at the forefront of their competition and generally benefit our community.”

The announcement was made last week, just prior to both Fortinet and Willis College taking part in the Ottawa Citizen Job Fair, where they collaborated on a joint lecture called, “Are You Career Ready?”

“Most of the job growth we’ve seen at our Ottawa headquarters has been in the area of technical support and our new professional and educational services,” said Michael Anderson, vice president of services at Fortinet.

“We look forward to partnering with Willis College on their security program and recruiting their best and brightest students as soon as they graduate.”
