Visual College of Art and Design of Vancouver Hosts Fall Show

Students studying everything from fashion to animation will be showcasing their work this week at The Visual College of Art and Design of Vancouver (VCAD).
VCAD’s Fall Portfolio show takes place on Wednesday October 11th on the main floor of the VCAD campus, at 626 West Pender Street.
“VCAD’s Fall Portfolio Show is one of the highlights of the school year, giving local employers an excellent opportunity to check out the most recent crop of talented individuals eager to enter the art and design industry in Vancouver,” said the school’s website.
The event takes place from 6 pm to 8 pm and showcases the works of grads from the Fashion Design, Graphic Design, Interior Design and 3D Modeling Animation Art and Design programs.
VCAD began as a branch of the Victoria College of Art and Design, which has taught artists and imaginative people to follow their creative passions for more than 35 years.
“The show also gives prospective students a chance to see the calibre of work that comes out of VCAD’s hands-on programs. They can talk to grads about their experience at the college, meet some of the instructors and rub elbows with members of the local art and design community,” said the school.
