
RCC Institute of Technology adds a Diploma in Writing for Film & TV

RCC is currently accepting applications for the Writing for Film & TV diploma program.
The RCC Institute of Technology will now be offering a Diploma in Writing for Film & TV from their downtown campus at Dundas Square.
In late April, the Hon. John Milloy, the Minister of Training, Colleges and Universities in Ontario granted RCC consent to offer the diploma program in the province of Ontario.
“This is a terrific program in a supportive, collaborative learning environment,” said Dr. Rick Davey, President of RCC Institute of Technology. “It is a great addition to the Film Production and Acting programs.”
They are currently accepting applications for the Writing for Film & TV diploma, and its first class starts in October.
The program is an 18-month intensive diploma, and aims to give students with skills for a career writing in new and traditional media.
Students will learn to writing for:
- Documentaries
- News
- Entertainment
- Sitcoms
- 1-hour TV movies
- Interactive Multi-media components
“The Toronto Film School has a history of providing real-world education to its students. As we continue to grow, we are excited to add aspiring writers into the mix,” Rick Bennett Program Chair of the Toronto Film School.
