Metalworks Institute Offers New Programs

As the music industry continues to shift, Toronto’s Metalworks Institute (MWI) continues to re-invent their curriculum to keep up.
Canada’s renowned entertainment arts school now offers Music Performance & Technology programs with majors in drums & percussion, guitar, bass guitar, keyboards and vocals.
“We are extremely excited about the new curricula,” says MWI Academics Director, Craig Titus.
“These two-year programs were developed to be the most innovative programs offered at any post-secondary institution. They are designed to cultivate and enhance a musician’s ability in music performance and augment their skills through a comprehensive study of music technology and business applications.”
MWI takes pride in attracting imaginative, driven musicians and training them with the tools to help them reach their creative potential. Titus added that the strength of their training is the combination of the industry-proven instructors, studios and equipment their students have access to.
“Our programs differ from traditional music performance-style courses by training students to utilize technology to assist them in the studio, on stage and in the creative process of composition and songwriting,” added Titus.
The school is open to students looking to start a music career in any genre, such as rock, country, dance, electro, acoustic, experimentalism or pop music.
