Canada’s business schools are among the world’s best, according to Bloomberg Businessweek.
The magazine recently released its list of The Top 10 International Business Schools (made up of Canadian and European schools), with Canadian schools claiming 4 spots.
Queen’s University School of Business was ranked #2, while The University of Western Ontario Ivey School of Business was ranked #6. The University of Toronto Rotman School of Management was ranked #8, with York University Schulich School of Business coming in at #9.
The lists’ criteria took a number of factors into account. Each school was given a grade by students in their programs (assessing teaching and services), as well as by recruiters to reflect the quality of each school’s graduates. They also measured the potential employability of each school’s grads (based on the MBA graduates reporting at least one job offer within three months of graduation) and the starting saleries grads can expect.
The results were based on three surveys that 26,389 MBA grads completed, as well as three surveys that 680 recruiters completed.
France’s INSEAD was named #1, which pushed Queens from their top spot in 2008. Schulich’s ranking was their first appearance in the top 10.
