Regency Students Publish Papers In The Canadian Journal Of Dental Hygiene
Students of Toronto’s Regency Dental Hygiene Academy are having an impact in the industry, before they even enter the workforce.
Two groups of Regency students have had papers published in the Canadian Journal of Dental Hygiene and more are under review.
In 2010, Regency became the first accredited school in Ontario to fully integrate the Entry-to-Practice Competencies for Canadian Dental Hygienists and established a solid research program with the goal to see student papers published within 18 months.
“As a graduate of Regency you will be prepared to impress any employer; in today’s competitive and highly demanding health-care environment the quality of your education must set you apart,” said Roxanne R. Bartel, President/CEO of Regency Dental Hygiene Academy Inc.
Regency Dental Hygiene Academy’s dental hygiene diploma program is accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation of Canada. While in school students are required to successfully complete 690 hours of clinical practice and over 100 hours of clinical observation and oral education in the community.
“Regency is currently exploring innovative additions to its program including an internship entry-to-practice opportunity, individual career/study guides to support you throughout your school time and in your job search, and an annual fund-raiser to expand on our current Oral Health Education and Health Promotion program,” said Bartel.
