Camosun College Business Students Land Internships with Zombies
A Victoria based ad agency is using a unique way to recruit interns for their “zombie friendly” office. And two Camosun College business students will join the ranks of their working dead.
“There is no better place to hone my marketing skills than in this hands-on, zombie-friendly environment,” said Bryan Dwyer, a second year student from the Business Administration – Marketing diploma program.
“The relationships and experiences gained will be invaluable in my future education and career. This will be one incredible summer!”
Cale Frombach wowed judges by spoofing Copeland’s website with a clone called Zombland. He described it as an agency offering cutting-edge services in a new market niche.
“Copeland’s contest was a truly unique way to apply for an internship,” said Frombach, who is a fourth-year student in Camosun’s BBA – Marketing Communications Management program.
“Instead of simply submitting a typical cover letter and resumé, this was a way to show my creative side, do some wicked copywriting and develop a clone website. Participating in such a distinctive and offbeat hiring process really tested my skills, plus opened up networking opportunities!”
