Snow Day

More than 300 flights were cancelled at Pearson Airport last night, due to the weather.

Groundhog Day is a snow day for many students, with some parts of Ontario seeing over 30 centimeters of snow over the last 24 hours.

A lack of public transportation has lead to closures or canceled classes at such schools as: George Brown, Fanshawe College, McMaster University, University of Toronto, York University, Ontario College of Art and Design, Centennial College, Mohawk College, Royal St. Georges College, Humber College, Sheridan College, Vaughan College, and Max the Mutt Animation School.

More than 300 flights were cancelled at Pearson Airport last night, due to the weather. Elsewhere, The City of Windsor has declared a snow emergency, and The City of Kitchener has declared a snow event.

All students are encouraged to visit their school’s website for up-to the minute, and campus-specific information about classes and closures. Or they can visit www.theweathernetwork.com.

How will you be spending your snow day? Hitting the books? Sleeping in? Speeding downhill with a cafeteria lunch tray as your sled?
