RBC Paid Internships

The RBC’s paid internship is available to eligible college and university graduates regardless of their educational background.

One hundred lucky college or university graduates will get a unique opportunity to get their foot in the door come January. The Royal Bank of Canada is now accepting applications for its one-year, paid internship, set to kick off at the start of the new year.

The internships are part of RBC’s Career Launch Program, which combines work experience and mentorship with a development program that’s designed to prepare recent graduates for long-term career success.

The internships are available in thirteen Canadian cities, including Toronto, Ottawa, Vancouver, Montreal, Halifax and 8 other Ontario cities. Applicants must have graduated by October 22, 2012 and be aged 24 age or under as of December 31, 2012. They must also be legally entitled to work in Canada for the duration of the program and not be currently employed by RBC. Entrants need not be finance students: graduates of any educational background may apply.

“This is a program that will enhance participants’ resume and give them workplace skills they can use in any environment,” says RBC’s Chief Human Resources Officer Zabeen Hirji.

Hirji says that RBC is committed to the Career Launch Program for at least three years. Although the internship doesn’t guarantee a future position with RBC, the combination of work experience and personal mentoring does give graduates a significant advantage in the workforce.

The deadline for online applications is midnight on October 22nd.  Interested graduates can download the application form and get full details about the internship, including essay-writing tips and interview advice, on the Career Launch website.

Candidates who are eligible for an interview will be notified by the end of the month. Interns will begin work on January 27, 2014.
