The RCC Institute is Ontario’s only private, non-denominational school to offer Bachelor degrees.

This week it was announced that The RCC Institute of Technology’s Academy of Design will be offering a Bachelor of Interior Design Degree in October of this year.

“We applaud the Academy of Design administration and faculty for their hard work and diligence in pursuing a degree program. Over the next three to four years, you will see many schools working towards this higher standard of education,” said Susan Wiggins, the Executive Director of Interior Designers of Canada.

The new degree is equivalent to a 4-year honours degree, in 3 years of targeted and consecutive study. It will be offered in-class, as well as online to reach out to distance learners and international students. RCC will continue to offer their 18-month diploma in Interior Design, with the option to add a degree after completion.

Earlier this month, the Hon. John Milloy, the Minister of Training, Colleges and Universities in Ontario gave the official OK from the Ministry and gave the RCC Institute of Technology consent to offer a Bachelor of Interior Design program in the Province of Ontario.

“We are extremely proud of the faculty and staff who worked on this application,” said Dr. Rick Davey, President of RCC Institute of Technology.

“This is a very meaningful credential and we would not have received consent if we didn’t have an extremely sound and relevant curriculum along with dedicated and qualified educators in our community.”

Terrible school, nothing is in good condition. They will treat you good until you are their student. I was taking the bachelor of interior design, part online and part in school. The teachers are very unhappy with their jobs and are really not patient. BUT THAT IS NOT THE BAD PART: now after I realize that my education is not valid for any other college or university and realized that I wasted so much money. Is 3 times more expensive that any other school. I asked for my transcripts 4 months ago and after more than 10 emails and phone calls only now they tell me they are ready. CONCLUSION: waste of time and money and a bad experience overall. Do yourself a favor and never go to this institution
